Greetings Guitar People...

Here is a little finger twister that uses the C Major scale in ascending and descending triadic arpeggios
(1's, 3's, and 5's). Arpeggios are just chords played one note at a time and this exercise uses the triads ( 3 note chords) that exist in the major scale.

This exercise helps you learn to identify all of your triad chord tones for a specific key, in one position.
You'll notice up the pattern is up 1, 3, 5, then starting on the very next scale degree down 5, 3, 1 of the next triad. This pattern repeats through the entire two octave scale pattern. Coming back down the pattern reverses to down 5, 3, 1, then starting on the very next scale degree, up 1, 3, 5 of the next triad. this keeps repeating until all two octaves are completed.

As always, learn this exercise in sections slowly, gradually adding new parts as you go. This is written in "C" Major but try applying the same "Pattern Idea" to all the modes.

See Ya...Kevin
