Guitar Riffs 101 Welcome to the first Trevor Larkin lesson page. There’s no way around it: rock, jazz, blues, classical…it doesn’t matter! There are certain riffs that every guitar player MUST know. Here a few of them, compiled in my first installment of Guitar Riffs 101. There are several great things about these riffs: 1. They’re really famous. You’ll recognize these in an instant, your friends will think you’re great, and respect and adulation will ensue. 2. They’re really easy. The majority of these riffs can be played the first time you pick up the instrument. There’s nothing like being able to play actual music as opposed to some exercise (Trevor’s note: exercises are really useful, but sometimes you just have to play!) 3. They don’t stink.
